About Francis Patrick McGeough

Patrick was a proud and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. An adventurer, a salesman, a seeker, a devoted student of 'A Course in Miracles', a lover of horses and dogs and land, a smooth talker, and a good listener with a keen interest in history. He took his coffee black with a side of cookies. He is survived by his five children (Dean, Angela, Maureen, Frank, and Ella Dawn) his seven grandchildren (Julie, Jonathan, Jenna-Lea, Heidi, Joshua, Justin, and Kristy) and six great grandchildren (Nolan, Walker, Natalie, Gregory, Levi, and Morgan) with 1 more on the way, his life-long friend Elsie, and his siblings Kay and Murray. In March 1974, he adapted Juan Ramón Jiménez' poem - El viaje definitivo (The Last Journey)... "The Definite Journey, my version with apologies to Jimenez" And I will leave. But the birds will stay singing - And our garden will stay, with the water well And the blue spruce singing; many afternoons The skies will be blue its white clouds dreaming And the people who loved me will pass away But my spirit will always wander nostalgic In the same recondite corner of our flowery garden - dad
